Why Beagle?
When us humans shop online, we’re all Spider Men. With our great power comes a great chance of leaving parts of the world in ruins.
But this buying power could be used for good! For trees! For blue skies! And maybe fewer videos of sad sea turtles with straws stuck up their noses.
The problem is that it’s hard to keep those sea turtles in mind when we’re browsing online, being bombarded with messages about something that will make our elbows look cute, or will definitely definitely make our baby sleep better.
That’s where the Beagle Button comes in. It remembers the sea turtles so you don’t have to. You can shop as normal, and we’ll show you sustainable alternatives for things you already need to buy, when you want to buy them. Magic. And if you’ve picked a specific sustainability area as one of your preferences, we’ll make sure to prioritise it when finding recommendations
"A game-changer for good people who just want buying well to be easy."

Beagle is a B-corp
We are proud to be part of the global movement using business as a force for good. These organisations are certified by B Lab as having met rigorous social and environmental standards which represent our commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit. Beagle is one of them.
There are now over 1,200 certified B Corp companies in the UK. Some we are fortunate to count as partners: Homethings, Pala Eyewear, The Nc'nean Distillery, Seep, Beauty Kitchen, Circa5000 to name but a few.
We’re building Beagle to help people discover and enjoy the products and services of these incredible organisations, who like us believe in supporting the environment as part of growing a successful business.
Our method
Our dedicated team scours the internet for mission-driven brands that are committed to producing sustainable products. We look for products that match our sustainability tags (you can see a selection of these on the left!).
We then look at how sustainable these products really are. To do that, we give each product a score against our 5 sustainability pillars: reduce waste, minimise emissions, support workers, protect animals, and avoid chemical usage. Where relevant we work with certifying bodies to test the claims that brands make.
It’s important that we’re showing you stuff that is great to use, as well as being sustainable, so we look for reviews from customers who have bought these things and tried them out.
Products that pass these tests are added to our database alongside their sustainability score. When you’re browsing online, we dig into this database to find the products that best match what you are looking at as well as your sustainability preferences.
It doesn’t stop there! We’re constantly re-assessing all of our products, as well as searching for new ones to make sure we’re showing our users the best stuff we can find.
